Name of angles, properties

The names of angles are in three categories:

  • by size
  • as a sum of a pair of angles
  • according to their specific position

b) as a sum of a pair of angles

c) according to their specific position

Names of angles by relating two positions

Vertically opposite angles, see image below:

From the figure below a and c, b and d are vertically opposite angles.

Other angles in this class include:

  • corresponding angles,
  • alternate angles
  • co-interior (adjacent) angles,
