WRITING NUMBERS IN FIGURES UPTO HUNDRED MILLIONS

 

 EXAMPLE

Therefore the number 7,982,495 is read as seven million, nine hundred and eighty-two thousand, four hundred and ninety-five. 
write the following numbers in figures and symbols or figures
Two hundred and thirty-four thousand, six hundred and fifty-seven.
Two million, seven hundred and eighty-nine thousand, four hundred and three.
Seventeen million, eight hundred and thirty-four thousand, and nine.

 

The commas indicate the category of numbers.Example the number768,502

  • starting from right 2 is ones place, 0 is tens place,5 is hundreds place, the set represents ones.
  • The number 8 is thousands place,6 is the ten thousand place and 7 is the hundred thousand place, the set represents thousands.

the first set shows millions, second set shows thousands place, last set is the ones place.
