God sent moses to pharaoh to tell him to let the israelites go but pharaoh refused.
The israelites marked their houses with blood.
God sent the Angel of death to kill all the first born sons of the Egyptians but Passover the houses of the Israelites.
In Exodus 12:21-28 What we have learnt;
Passover means the passing over of the angel of death on the houses of israelites. It marked the beginning of a new life for the Israelites. God sent an angel to kill the first born sons of the Egyptians. God is faithful.
