Jesus in the temple

Luke 2: 41 - 52

  • The parents of Jesus were called Mary and Joseph.

  • Every year Jesus’ parents could go to Jerusalem for the Passover festival.
  • One day they took Him there when He was twelve years old.

  • There were many people in the Temple.

  • After the festival, Jesus stayed behind without the knowledge of His parents.

  • After searching they found Him the third day.

  • He was talking to the teachers of the temple about God's love.

  • Jesus talked with great wisdom that the scribes could not understand.

  • On being found, He claimed to the parents He had to be in His farther's house.
  • Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people.
