Nutritional deficiency diseases 

- These are diseases caused by the lack of certain nutrients in the diet.

- They occur if the diet taken is not a balanced diet.

- This means that if someone continuously takes food that is not a balanced diet the person can easily suffer from deficiency diseases.

- Examples of these diseases are:

Marasmus, Kwashiorkor, Anaemia, Rickets, Scurvy, Beriberi
